Cardiac Catheterization Lab

In 2003, the percutaneous vascular program was started to help patients benefit from the newest and most minimally invasive technology available, while retaining the ability to perform traditional open surgical procedures to correct Peripheral Arterial Disease. These newer techniques allow patients to recover faster, and can be performed in the Catheterization Lab under local anesthesia rather than in the Operating Room under general anesthesia.

2009 brings another landmark milestone was achieved at Health Central with our ability to treat patients with cardiac and vascular problems by utilizing intravascular ultrasound and thrombolysis, with the latest in balloon, wire, and stent technology. Health Central's interventional cath lab patients will rest well in the newly renovated CardioVascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), a unit designed to care for interventional recovery and high-risk vascular and cardiac patients.

To date, Health Central has performed hundreds of minimally-invasive peripheral vascular procedures and, along with our staff of seasoned physicians, will continue to grow to meet the needs of our community.
